The Little Women Quilts pattern pack is a collection of four quilt patterns named after each of the sisters from the Little Women book: Meg, Jo, Beth & Amy.

All the quilt patterns are machine pieced and do not have any: EPP, FPP, or y-seams. The patterns are all one size – throw 62″ x 66″, but could easily be sized up or down.

Each quilt pattern and the sister it is named after:

I matched the quilt pattern design and each sister up carefully. I truly feel that each quilt pattern reflects the sister it was named after.

Meg:

The Meg Quilt is inspired by a traditional grandma’s flower garden block. It enlarges one of the most classic quilt designs. I thought that this pattern was perfect for Meg because in Little Women Meg is traditional and wants a family, unlike her more modern sister Jo.

Jo:

The idea behind the Jo Quilt was a modern hexagon reverberation. While this can be done in a monochromatic ombre (like pictured) or a rainbow, either way causes eye movement and keeps you visually engaged. Jo in the Little Women book is ahead of her time and the most modern of her sisters. It is fitting that the most modern quilt in the pattern pack is named after her.

Beth:

This was the first quilt I designed in the pattern pack. It looks like a classic hexie flower quilt. It is made entirely from fat quarters. Beth is quiet, kind, and sweet in the Little Women book. The homey vibe of a hexie flower quilt just reminds me of her personality so much.

Amy:

The Amy Quilt, like the Meg Quilt, is inspired by a Grandmas Flower Garden block. It puts a modern spin on one of the classic quilt block. Amy is the youngest sister in the Little Women and is a combination of artistic and realistic. Something about this quilt pattern just reminds me of Amy.

The pattern pack has a two page PDF supplemental – ‘Hexagon Sewing Help Sheet’. This has a various techniques with pictures included to help you get achieve perfect corners.
